Summerfield of Fresno has always been a place I have referred families too. They have an amazing staff who care deeply for all their residents as if they were their own loved ones. This community is different from the other memory care communities in town from the outdoor walking paths, butterfly garden and many daily activities that it offers. My Mother, Nancy, spent the last 2 1/2 years at Summerfield of Fresno in the Seaside community. My Mom’s favorite place was the beach, so when we needed to place her, Seaside was the place we chose. Alzheimer is a terrible disease that my mother unfortunately had to experience. Summerfield of Fresno staff was a blessing and treated her as family when we could no longer keep my Mother at home. It felt like visiting an extended family every time we visited. You get to know the other families, residents and most important the staff, who greets everyone with a smile, hug, love, enthusiasm, dignity, and compassion. My mother passed away in October and I know she is free of this disease. This was a road no one should have to travel, but I will eternally be grateful for all the staff that was a part of our journey. The staff are both heroes and angels. Thank you for everything!

My Mom has been at Summerfield of Fresno for 4 months now and we are still impressed when we walk in and are greeted like family every time. Her care has been exceptional and the staff in her Apple Grove neighborhood has shown a deep concern for not just my Mom but for all of the ones they take care of. One thing that stands out for us is it doesn’t matter what job needs to be done EVERYONE helps if they see a need.. Kathy and Jamie went above and beyond to welcome my Mom on her first day as well as kitchen staff, activities director and of course the caregivers and nurses in her neighborhood. They all carefully listen and acknowledge what seems to be important to us in regards to my Moms well being. Leaving a parent in someone else’s care is a difficult thing but they all have made the transition so much easier.

Very satisfied with the value… We couldn’t afford much more than what they did, but we feel like we’re getting a lot for what we’re paying… I feel my mother is safe and comfortable at the community.

So kind, so kind and so respectful… Very compassionate, respectful, wonderful, wonderful group… They are always accessible and responsive to her needs, and I can call any time if I have issues or problems and reach the nurses or the med techs to ask any questions that need to be asked.

I already have recommended them… I recommend them to anybody that listens and anyone that needs memory care or care past assisted living… I think, in my opinion, it doesn’t get better than what Summerfield is doing.

The care staff are very good and have all been very good with her. They all love her, and I don’t think I’ve seen one yet that I didn’t care too much about. They are respectful and knowledgeable. They have been accessible and responsive… They have me the med tech number and they answer right away, and they do really good having her ready in the lobby by the time I get there.

My mother lives at the community and I’ve been really happy with her experience. The management and front desk are always friendly and helpful, and the caregivers treat her with so much kindness and respect. The building is very clean and well maintained, and her room is comfortable and feels safe. The food works well for the residents, and staff are responsive whenever I call. I would absolutely recommend this community.
